The ferocious and mighty Brahmaputra river unravels many charms for rafting enthusiasts. With this adventure extravaganza, enjoy the upper waters that make its way through some of the most isolated areas in India. The source of the river lies in the frosty glaciers of Tibet. Along the course, it meanders into India and then descends in full force to the Himalayan countryside and later makes its way to the plains. While winding through the celestial like Himalayas, the river unfolds some great avenues for water rafting with large stretches of Grade III and IV rapids and the occasional Class IV+ rapid.
This enthralling experience Brahmaputra River Rafting starts with 3 day drive from Dibrugarh. In the beginning, enjoy a ferry ride that is flanked by greenery all around. From Tuting, indulge in rip-roaring times over 7 days and challenge the exciting rapids. Adding to the thrill of the experience is setting tents in uninhabited areas by the river and some nights inside a massive canyon. The river experience finishes at Pasighat from where you return to Dibrugarh packed with awesome memories of the trip.

LONG ITINERARY
Day 01: Arrival in Dibrugarh
Day Highlights: Leisure Day in Dibrugarh
Day Details: This amazing Brahmaputra River Rafting experience begins with your arrival in Dibrugarh. Following your arrival in the city, check-in into the hotel and relax for the day; overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 02: Dibrugarh – Pasighat (Ferry Ride /2 Hours)
Day Highlights: Brahmaputra, Ferry ride, Fresh Water Dolphins, Traditional Market
Day Details: Indulge in a hearty breakfast and gear up for a local ferry across Brahmaputra river. Do not be surprised if you spot freshwater dolphin along the way in the winter season. Post two hours, you will reach the other side of the majestic river. From here, you hop on the bus that takes you to Arunachal Pradesh border post.
Once there, pass the entry checks with the Restricted Area Permits and proceed to the hotel in Pasighat. Reach by early afternoon. As per your choice, you can spend the afternoon sauntering through Pasighat traditional market, shopping for souvenirs and unravelling the place around you.
There will be a discussion during dinner at around 7:00 PM. You will have to pack your waterproof dry bags for the next day's outing. The remaining bags that are not required at the moment can be left at the store in Pasighat, which can be collected during your return journey.
Day 03: Pasighat – Jegging(Drive/8 Hours)
Day Highlights: Traditional Bamboo Bridge, Adi Tribal Village of Kebang, Traditional Dinner
Day Details: By 7:00 AM, you will check out of the hotel and take a short halt at the Hindu temple. Seek blessings before commencing the jeep journey and get engaged in an 8-hour drive that will take you through the foothills of the Himalayas. Visit some pictorial viewpoints and a traditional bamboo bridge; lunch will be served at a restaurant in the Adi tribal village, Kebang. About 4:00 PM, reach a tiny rest house in Jegging. Unwind and dig into a sumptuous meal during dinner time; overnight will be spent at the rest house.
Day 04: Jegging – Ninging (Drive/8 Hours)
Day Highlights: Beach Camp
Day Details: Indulge in breakfast by 8:00 AM, post which you can embark upon an 8 hour drive; have lunch en route. Reach the put-in close to Ninging about 4:00 PM. Here, you will get to meet the advanced team staff who have prepped up the beach camp for you and your trip fellows. Relish in a tasty dinner by around 6:00 PM; overnight will be spent in the camp.
Day 05: Relaxation Day in Ninging
Day Highlights: Tuting, Safety briefing, Camping instructions
Day Details:This day will be spent for relaxation. Take a short drive to Tuting the final town in Indian side of the border beyond which civilians and foreign nationals are forbidden. Post lunch, you will the trip leader will acquaint you with the safety and camping instructions; overnight will be spent at the camp
Day 06: Ninging -Pango
Day Highlights: Rafting, Palsi Rapid, Grade IV Rapid, Pango Campsite
Day Details: This balmy day, dig into breakfast at around 7:00 AM. Post which, you pack up the camp and brace yourself for rafting. Enjoy close to an hour of floating where you arrive at Palsi rapid (Grade-IV). Delight in the huge whirling waves as you make your way down the rapids. Lap up another hour of floating, post which you reach the campsite; overnight will be spent in the campsite.
Day 07: Rafting from Pango - Cherring
Day Highlights: Ninguing and Marmong Canyon, Rapids like Pango, Rikor, Zebra Rock and Toothfairy
Day Highlights: This refreshing day, gear up to paddle from Pango to Cherring. Begin the activity on the river with a massive Pango rapid and enter Ninguing and Marmong canyons. Delight in one of the world’s most remote jungle canyons and unravel the untouched landscapes around. Flanking you are bountiful pristine forests that makes the perfect backdrop for thrilling Rikor and Zebra Rock rapids. Pitch tents at Cherring that is above the Toothfairy (Grade-VI) rapid; overnight will be spent in the campsite.
Day 08: Rafting Cherring - Ramsingh
Day Highlights: Marmong Gorge, Hairy Hari, Broken Oar Rapids, Ramsingh
Day Details: This day, begin early as you walk round the ‘Toothfairy’ Rapid. Enjoy the route and come out of Marmong Gorge. This is an exciting time as you manoeuvre several Grade-IV rapids such as the Hairy Hari and Broken Oar; camps will be pitched below Ramsingh.
Day 09: Rafting from Ramsingh - Geku
Day Highlights: Moying Madness Rapid, Nubo, Karo Killer Rapid
Day Details: This day, you rafting journey commences with an easy float till Moying Madness rapid, a rather exciting Grade-IV+ rapid. Post this; the stretch below is relatively mellow until you arrive at Nubo where you will have to face Karo Killer rapid; the last rapid for the day. Pitch camp at Geku. Come evening and you can revel in the campfire and engaging stories; overnight will be spent in the campsite.
Day 10: Relaxation Day in Geku
DayHighlights: Rest, Kayaking (Optional), Hiking, Tribal Culture and Lifestyle
Day Details: This day is reserved for relaxation. The morning is a light one as you reel in the therapeutic music of the river. You can simply unwind at the beach or enjoy kayaking or take a hike and unravel the tribal lifestyle and culture.
Day 11: Rafting from Geku - Rotung
Day Highlights: Adi Tribal Settlements, Confluence of Brahmaputra and Siyom
Day Details: This day, you enjoy a lengthy float and enjoy the route through several tribal settlements. You will also come along the confluence of the Bramhaputra and Siyom rivers. After some fun times, arrive at Rotung that will serve as your campsite; overnight will be spent at the campsite.
Day 12: Rafting from Rotung to Pasighat
Day Highlights: Last Day Brahmaputra River Rafting, Rejuvenating Body Massage
Day Details: Another exciting day awaits as you raft from Rotung to Pasighat. This will be the final white water stretch on Brahmaputra before the river gets into the plains. The river banks will appear wider and varied from the previous days. End the session at Pasigaht and take on a short drive to hotel.
Once at the hotel, the women can enjoy a massage at the saloon next door and men can relax with a head massage or shave at the local barber; overnight will be spent at the hotel.
Day 13: Ferry Ride from Pasighat - Dibrugarh (5 Hours)
Day Highlights: Ferry ride, 30minute Drive through Arunachal’s Tribal Villages
Day Details: Rise and shine early today, dig into breakfast at 6:15 AM and hop on a 5-hour, downstream ferry from Pasighat to Dibrugarh. Have packed lunch along the way. Snacks and water bottles will be carried as well. Post 30-minute drive amidst Arunachal tribal villages, you arrive at the ferry terminal. Enjoy the ferry ride and travel with local families. Reach Dibrugarh and check-in into the hotel; overnight will be spent in the hotel.
Day 14: Departure from Dibrugarh
Day Highlights: Trip Ends Here
Day Details: After having breakfast in the hotel, check-out from the hotel and mark the end of this amazing Brahmaputra River Rafting experience and continue towards your onward journey.
