About the Destination: Dudhsagar Falls (literally means Sea of Milk ) is a tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River on Goa's border with Karnataka. The waterfall is located amidst the dense western ghats in the Bhagwan Mahavir Wild Life Sanctuary, South Goa . It lies high up in Mandovi River's watershed. During the monsoon season, the exquisite falls are at its best.
Dudhsagar Falls is listed as one of the  tallest waterfalls in India. The water plummets over a thousand feet in large volumes during the rainy season, forming a spectacular natural phenomena in Goa. It is a major part of the Goa's ecosystem. It is a four-tiered waterfall with a total height of 310 metres (1017 feet) and an average width of 30 metres (100 feet).
Trekking to Dudhsagar ideally starts from the scenic location of Castle Rock. There are different trails to reach the falls, which can be chosen according to your comfort and convenience. Any which ways, you will not be able to miss the dense flora and fauna of the region which has some of the rare species of life on earth.

      THINGS TO CARRY:
      • Rucksack - The broader the straps, the better you will feel. A frame oriented rucksack distributes the weight and supports the back.
      • Jackets/Sweater - The weather changes drastically. Night and mornings are cold. Therefore, carrying a light jacket or a sweater is recommended.
      • Cargos/ Track pants - A light synthetic track pant that can easily dry when wet in case of rainfall. Cargos are rugged and are good on jungle terrains as it is less likely to be torn by thorns.
      • T-Shirt - Carry light cotton t-shirts preferably full sleeves to avoid sun burn. Don’t carry black as it absorbs heat.
      • Cap/Hat - A cap or a hat to cover the head and face against the direct sunlight during peak hours.
      • Sunglasses - It helps during long hours of cycling in day time
      • Shoes - Comfortable sports shoes which are light.
      • Socks - Sports or cotton socks that don’t make your feet sweat on long walks. Carrying few extra pairs is always a good idea just in case they get wet.
      • Rain coat/Poncho - A compact raincoat or a poncho that can quickly dry when wet is very important considering the amount of rain-shower that happens especially in Monsoon.
      • Water Bottle - A 2 litre good leak proof water bottle. Don’t miss the chance to drink spring water, if any.
      • Torch - A small sized torch is mandatory. You would not like to be restricted after the sunset.
      • Personal Medication Kit - Crocin, Combiflam, Dettol, ORS, Betadine Cream, Volini Spray, Digene, Cotton, Crape Bandage and Band Aid.
      • Towel - It should be light and easily dryable after use.
