It is interesting to see the clash between Venus and Juno, and also the Sun and Panacea, in your horoscope this week. Both clashes occur in your house of friendship, group thinking, the community, the social circle and the hive mind. Quite clearly, not everything with these people is straightforward and you may have an inner conflict to deal with, or a situation involving your friend – or the group – where polar opposites are hard to reconcile. Watch the feedback and reaction from the outside world and use it to help you make a good judgement call. Venus is involved, which always means at least one of these people is skilled at making the simple business of relationships very complicated indeed. You are having quite a time of it this year with so many retrogrades (backwards and forwards scenarios) affecting your money, business, house, possessions, apartment or charity. Here comes another one, to quote Monty Python. You do have a new beginning indicated this week, yet it will not be until you are into early June, that you can say one matter is absolutely finished, fixed, firm and final. Because of this, you may want to have Plan B tucked up your sleeve, or at least make your plans so flexible that they can easily accommodate the inevitable changes, reversals or waiting games that come with the Mercury Retrograde cycle. We associate the Sixth House with Virgo the Virgin, also known as the Maiden, who in days of old, was responsible for the housekeeping, for tending to family members (and animals) and who was the cog in the wheel that turned the great machinery of the home and village. The clue is in the name – Virgin. Her physical condition or state also dictated her lifestyle, her role, her position and her mission in life. Her body ruled what she did and who she was. This also gives you a clue to this week. It is about your physical state and the effect this has on so many other aspects of your world. This week will bring a fresh start in connection with children or a serious lover. The children may be in the womb, at school or just 20 years or more your junior. They may be yours or belong to other people. The lover is the kind of person who necessarily comes with younger relatives, godchildren or his/her own offspring, should things ever become serious between you. This is a classic cycle for pregnancy or for decisions about a child’s education. It is also a textbook cycle for the start of a new relationship. There are many variations on this theme and perhaps your concern is adoption or child custody – maybe even the very great responsibility of a children’s charity. A high percentage of Aquarians will be renovating, reshuffling the household, making big family decisions or even moving, following the New Moon towards the end of this week. Even if your life is not this dramatic, you are at that particular time of year when the old way of running your house of apartment may no longer seem right, or particular relatives or flatmates may want a different way of doing things. On a larger scale, we associate this cycle with your home town and your country, so many Aquarians will be thinking in terms of the council or the government, and a brand new direction. This is all well and good, but you must expect a couple of obstacles on the path this week. You may also want to allow until the first week of June for one situation to be absolutely final and confirmed, as the likelihood of delays, changes or reversals is very high on Mercury Retrograde. This is commonly the internet, though if meetings are required, it can involve short-haul flights or long drives. Your week is about the message and the medium. It puts your way with words, ideas and images in the spotlight. A new chapter, project or plan is also indicated, very close to Friday. Just remember that Mercury himself is retrograde in May and consequently, there is an increased likelihood of technical errors, communication glitches, weasel words, printer issues, indecisive people and all the rest – at least until the first week of June. You can play this to your advantage by treating this particular idea or journey as a dress rehearsal, or first draft.
