10) Bhimtal

11) Naukuchiatal

13) Mukteshwar

19) Binsar

20) Mandi

A gem of Himachal Pradesh, Mandi derives its name from a sage who used to practice penance here.Well connected to Pathankot by rail and road, Mandi is a peaceful retreat tucked away in the valleys of Himalayas. 21) Thanedar

It is said that appearances can often be deceptive and it cannot be truer than in the case of Thanedar village, a quaint hill station located a little drive away from Shimla, close to the town of Naldehra. To drive to Thanedar is to drive into a spurt and burst of colours of happiness! The birthplace of Apple farming in the north, it is here that you can see lush green trees swaying against the backdrop of impossibly blue skies and cotton candy clouds. While the mustard fields dance merrily to the tunes of the wind, the brown earth keeps you rooted in the dream like destination.

23) Kangra

The town of Kangra lies in the Kangra Valley and rests along the gushing currents of the Banganga River, which goes on to join the Beas River. Resting along the slopes of the Dhauladhars, this river is almost pious to the villagers of the surrounding towns. The ancient town also find mention as being the sight where one of the earliest wars was fought, according to the texts of Alexander the Great. The Indianepic of Mahabharata also lists the town as Trigarta. This is an allusion to the fact that this ancient twon has been a place of human settlement for many years.
Located in the state of Himachal Pradesh, Kangra is sheltered by the mighty Dhauladhar Mountains on either sides and is one of the most picturesque place sin the state.  The temples in Kangra are what has given the town its pious status. You can spot the looming and majestic peaks throughout the town! The Panchachuli peaks in particular are a constant reminder of the beauty of nature. It is said that the Panchachuli is where the Pandavas cooked their last meal before progressing to heaven. The Goriganga,Ramganga and Dhauliganga, all tributaries of the Ganges flow and irrigate these lands to transform into a heaven of greens.
