I am now in Japan, and can tell what my friends and colleague think on Modi.

Today morning, my Japanese friend told me about China investment on India, what Modi told about Indo-China border and mutual coperation etc etc. It means they are following closely India news.

The general perception about Modi in Japan is that, they think, he is a very strong, tough, patriotic leader who is not corrupt. They had a perception that Indian politics is full of corrupt and uneducated people. Now listening Modi's talk in Japan, they feel that he is very knowledgeable, who has exceptional knowledge of Indian and world History. After listening Modi, they asked me is  it true that Indian Gods are also female??

So generally speaking, during discussion on India, I find huge support that India will do very good in future to come. You will be surprised to know what now I am going to write, and you may not believe it. But its true. 3 of my friends know few Indians
1. Mahatma Gandhi (very high respect),
2. Rahul Gandhi (they think he is grand-grand son of Mahatma Gandhi, but thinks that he is an innocent politician without any leadership quality)
3. Shah Rukh Khan
4. C V Raman
5. Latest addition: Narendra Modi (They are most vocal about him now)

When they ask me about my opinion of Modi, I used to tell that, He is doing excellent job, but what he can achieve for India, only time will tell.
