How do foreigners who have settled in India feel about it?

Views of Shreyash Sangai, Quorious:

I was at a party recently with my team mates. And one of the product owners, who is a German guy based here in India for the last 1 year or so (It's a German company) joined us for a chat. Just as we were chatting, I asked him, "How different is the life here from that of in Germany?"

And he had these things to say:
  1. The public transport in München or anywhere in Germany for that matter is great as compared to India. In München for ex. it's so good that you don't need to own a car at all. He wants to travel in a state transport bus here. Looks at them everyday. But has not gathered enough courage yet to board one. But he insisted that someday he will.
  2. The traffic here is insane.
  3. If a meeting is supposed to start at 3pm for ex. then the German 3 pm and the Indian 3pm are different. But he said he liked India in this case because its more flexible. He said that sometimes "you get caught up in the life you know" and maybe accidentally ignore a meeting alarm or sometimes there are back to back meetings of which one is in building A and the other in B which takes some time to reach. The traditional or older Germans don't wait for you and cancel the meeting immediately whereas the Indians, well, they themselves join 5 mins late, so never a problem. :-p
And just as we are about to end switch to another topic he says,
But, you see, there are 2 things I find we really really have in common and i.e
Our English is not so good, your English is meh....ok. And then he adds

The women over there are complex and the women here are also complex. It's just impossible to get them. :-p.

And everyone nods in agreement, high fives each other has a good laugh and goes cheers.
