Learn from Malayali people

What should other Indians learn from Keralites?

There are several things that rest of Indians should learn from Malayalis.

  • First and foremost, they are not 'Mallus'. Most Malayalis take offence when they are called so. Malayalis are to be called so, because they speak Malayalam. They are also Keralites. Both are fine. No 'Mallu banawing' please.
  • Malayalis treat their brethren with respect. Blatant obsequiousness is not in their blood. For example, very recently, in Kerala, lady IPS officer Merin Joseph was transferred because she is allegedly 'immature', after the below image went viral.

Don't expect any Malayali to @bow downbecause you are rich and powerful. The equality we have in Kerala is certainly due to the communist influence.

  • No, they are not all communists. They are all human beings. To be precise, Malayalis who belong to diverse religions.

  • GDP is not the only metric that matters. Quality of human life is, and Kerala tops in HDI and in all related metrics, in India.

  • Malayalam movie industry is one of the best in India. Malayalam movies are frequently remade into other languages, notably to Hindi.

The movie Drishyam alone was remade into Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu.

There are plenty more reasons.
