The tail end of the rake passes through the station, with the blinking tail light of the caboose leaving its impression on the exposure. Sarojini Nagar is a wonderful place for watching freight action, though the speeds are a tad slow.

An interesting scene that plays daily at Tenali. The up and down Janmabhoomi Expresses wait to depart to SC and VSKP respectively at Tenali Jn. Both arrive at the same time, exchange locos and leave within a few minutes of each other. The station displays the name of each train with the destinations on the display boards of respective platforms to avoid confusion among boarding passengers. 2007-10-14 Ranganath Eunny

Vendors are hard at work preparing delicacies for the next train in a busy morning schedule at Itarsi. Sumptuous bright orange Jalebis and Vadas add sweetness and spice to the scene. We contributed plenty to the view in the form of garbage strewn on the platform ;-). Our train, the Tamil Nadu Express, is making a slow exit out of Platform 3.

The New Delhi - Dehradun Shatabdi takes the road less travelled as it switches to what seems like a rarely used platform. At the helm is lovely baldie WDM3A #14010 from TKD. Muzzaffarnagar

Nothing like a silly electric mast to mar the sight of a diesel sipping beauty smoke away. The only consolation: A creation of the electric lobby gets smoke blown into its face ;-). This is the Dehradun Jan Shatabdi heading to Delhi. Laksar.

KZJ WDG3A duo #14780 and #14701 haul a BCNA rake towads Lonavla. This is the famous location where the Deccan Queen was shot for the 'Mile Sur' Video.
The end of the rake is just below the FOB at Kamshet. Kamshet is a lovely station with a hill on one side and a river on the other.

This is not an uncommon sight one finds in the mornings and the evenings. Since there is a hell lot of conjection and PF fights for the trains at NDLS, many are stuck in the outer for clearance. Here we see the P1 hauled Rewa Superfast and a CNB P4 hauled Swatantra Sanani express.
