Travel - Delhi's crowded streets will thrill you - Part last

Dive into Delhi with an evening trip through the heartbeat of the city!

Originally built as the capital of the Mughal Empire in 1639, Old Delhi is busy and chaotic, yet full of historic monuments such as the Red Fort, Jama Masjid and the Sikh Temple. In addition to the historic sites, we will also
several markets including Asia's largest wholesale spice market, Khari Baoli. In the evening time Old Delhi is nothing short of madness, with seemingly everyone in the city trying to get to the same places. Let us guide
you through the chaos and you will truly get a sense of Delhi's vivacity and why the "Walled City" is its heart.
  • 1

    Asia's Biggest Spice Market

Visit Khari Baoli and learn about the spices and chilies that various invaders of India brought to the country and which are now so prominent in Indian cuisine.
  • 2

    Red Fort

We don't go inside as it is closed in the evening, but we think the best view is from outside where you can appreciate the imposing structure.
  • 3

    Cycle Rickshaw Rides

See the hustle and bustle of the busy markets and people all apparently trying to go to the same place at the same time! On one of these rides, we pass by Jama Masjid.

    Volunteer at a Sikh Temple

Visit the beautiful Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib. Learn about Sikhism and see the communal kitchen where anybody is allowed to eat for free. The kitchen is completely volunteer run and if you would like to help out, you are more than welcome!

    Rooftop

Wind your way up a narrow staircase and get a breath of fresh air as you take in the madness of Old Delhi from above.
