News - Every Indian will have a house by 2022, PM Narendra Modi says

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the Centre would investigate the Indore-Patna Express derailment, and offered his well wishes to those injured and condolences to those who suffered a loss in the tragedy.

Addressing a large gathering of BJP supporters in Agra, Modi said rescue operations were ongoing.

The Prime Minister is in Agra to inaugurate the Pradhanmantri Grameen Awas Yojna, an ambitious housing scheme which aims to provide affordable houses to all those living below the poverty line by the year 2022.
