After Maggi, FDA Raids and Seizes 5,000 Packets of ITC's Yippee Noodles The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are coming down hard on instant noodle manufacturers where now they have raided a ITC distributor's godown in Agra and seized upto 5,000 packets of ITC's Yippee Noodles.

After media reports found that Maggi Noodles had high quantities of Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) content. The FDA are now seemingly putting other instant noodle products under the scanner to check if the MSG content is above the permissible level which is 0.01 PPM (parts per million lead). However, a maggi sample had around 17 PPM which was way higher.
According to a News18 report,Ram Naresh, Chief Food and Safety Officer (CFSO) informed that they suspected and took three samples of Yippee noodles and sent for testing in Lucknow and seized over 5,000 packets of the same.
Presently, over 1.4 lakhs Maggi packets has been seized by UPFDA across the Uttar Pradesh. Both Maggi and Yippee Noodles lab report is still awaited.
