About the Destination:
While on Savandurga trekking, the huge boulder ridden mountains of Savandurga beckon for a unique and adventure filled sojourn. Among the largest monolithic rocks in Asia, it is around 60 km from Bangalore. The craggy charm towers at 1226m above sea level. It is formed by two hills, Karigudda (meaning black hill) and Biligudda (meaning white hill).
Savandurga is flanked by wilderness areas that comes under the Magadi town. While you are here, you may spot wildlife like elephants, Indian bears, snakes, leopards, deer’s and more. Another appeal is the Manchinbele Dam that is plonked on one side of the mountain. It provides drinking to the Magadi Town.
About the Activity:
For Savandurga trekking and other adventures, your journey from Bangalore begins at the wee hours of 6am. Reach the destination and charge up for the exciting day ahead with breakfast by 8am. Around 9.30am, you begin the trek. Enjoy making way through jagged delights and reach the Savandurga peak by around 12.30pm.
Once at the top of Savandurga hill, feast your eyes on the unbridled horizon. Break for lunch around 2.30pm and indulge in a thrilling round of archery by 3.30pm. Other delights of the experience include activities like Rock Climbing and Jummaring. Savour high tea by 5pm and head back to Bangalore all revitalised by 6pm.
