LONG ITINERARY
Day 00: Departure from Bangalore
Day Highlights: Overnight journey to Chikmagalur
Day Details: Assembling at the decided pick-up points, embark on an overnight drive to the base-camp near Mullayanagiri Peak at around 10:15PM.
Day 01: Arrival and overnight stay in Base-camp
Day Highlights: 4-5km Mullayanagiri Trek,
Day Details: Following your arrival near the campsite; at around 6:00AM, check-in into the base-camp and get freshened up. After having breakfast in the camp, attend a quick briefing session by the trek guides and embark on the fascinating Mullayanagiri trek Peak around 9:30AM.
Considered as easy to moderate, the climb to the peak is an affair of mist and magic! Adorned with panoramic views of the Western Ghats and the lush coffee estates, the climb to the peak might also get steeper at times.
Upon reaching the peak, witness and enjoy the stunning views of the valley underneath, verdant meadows, scenic forest ranges, the low-flying clouds and also savour on a packed lunch at around 12:30PM. Post lunch; start descending down towards a nearby Lord Shiva Temple, from where you can enjoy spectacular views of the Baba Budangiri Range. Here onwards, continue down trek to the base-camp for an exciting overnight stay amidst a lively campfire.
Day 02: Departure towards Bangalore
Day Highlights: Trek to Baba Budangiri
Day Details: Waking up today morning, get started with an exciting trek to the Baba Budangiri Range at around 7:00AM. To reach the range, you can just follow the trails that lead to a nearby BSNL Tower. While most of this walk comprises of easy terrains, the end portion will take you through the ridges and is extremely exciting.
Following your arrival at Baba Budangiri, enjoy a packed lunch and after relaxing for a while, start your return journey to the campsite. With your arrival at the campsite, pack your bags and embark on the return journey to Bangalore at around 1:00PM, your Mullayanagiri trek peak comes to an end.
