Fish Medicine/Prasadam for Asthama Patients from Bathini Goud Brothers
Tired of Inhalers and frequent attacks of asthma? Bathini Goud Brothersof Hyderabad have a cure. Administering a fish medicine to thousands of people from around the nation, every year on 7th or 8th June on Mrigasira Karti day at Exhibition Grounds, Nampally, near Hyderabad Railway Station. These Bathini brothers got this miraculous medicine from their ancestors.
It is believed that their ancestor Mr. Veeranna Goud got this medicine from a holy man 156 years back with a promise that it would be given free of cost and the formula would not be revealed to anyone. Mr. Veeranna Goud passed it to Mr. Shiva Ram Goud who then passed it to Mr. Shanker Goud. Bathini brothers are the five sons of Mr. Shanker Goud. , Mr. Bathini Somalingam, Mr Bathini Shiram Goud, Mr Vishwanath Goud, Mr. Harinath Goud and Mr. Uma Maheshwar Goud. The two elder brothers expired.
A 2 inch Murrel Fish carrying the medicine into its mouth is slipped into the patient’s throat. Taken for 3 consecutive years with prescribed diet control, Bathini brothers claim that a patient gets rid of asthma.
Open from 8 am, at the rate of Rs.5/- per fish, the fish is supplied by Department of Fisheries, Government of Telangana.
