Foreigners in Delhi

Delhi has a number of expatriates in the city. Over the last decade the number of foreigners living in the city has grown. They are either employees of various embassies or are here of work. Many foreigners also come to work in various NGOs. Some are even enrolled as  students in various universities and colleges in Delhi. 

Delhi has embraced people from all countries irrespective of caste, color and creed. One can even find a lot of NRIs thronging Delhi either for business or studies. as well. The Delhi government has noted down some do's and don'ts for foreigners and NRIs living in the city like not be-friending any strangers, not venturing out late in the night, not to carry lot of cash and taking care of valuables and travel documents. Facilities for Foreigners and NRIs in Delhi

Delhi is considered as a gateway for NRIs. Most of the NRIs and foreigners coming from various countries to tour India land in Delhi first. Keeping this thing in view various facilities and offices have been set up to help them to find better arrangements for them.

New Delhi office of IRCTC serves as International Tourist Bureau. Foreign nationals visiting Delhi or NRIs visiting Del can get assistance for booking, reservation and travel planning etc from this office, located at New Delhi railway station. This office remains operational from 08:00hrs to 20:00hrs from Monday to Saturday and on Sunday from 08:00hrs to 14:00hrs. Here is the address of the office
