Why people of Afghanistan love Indians?
Why is India beneficial for Afghanistan?
India and Afghanistan share very strong bilateral relations.
India aided Afghanistan to overthrow Taliban and became the largest regional provider of humanitarian and reconstruction aid to Afghanistan. Indians are working in various construction projects, as part of India's rebuilding efforts in Afghanistan.
After the NATO forces decided to withdraw from Afghanistan, India seems to provide economic support for the region. The economic support includes an 800 MW power plant, Hydro-electric power projects, transmission lines, roads etc. India's support and collaboration extends to rebuilding of air links, power plants and investing in health and education sectors as well as helping to train Afghan civil servants, diplomats and police. India also seeks the development of supply lines of electricity, oil and natural gas. Also to give Afghan Students scholarships.
India and Iran are set to ink a transit agreement on transporting goods to landlocked Afghanistan. The Indian government is investing more than US$100 million in the expansion of the Chabahar port in south-eastern Iran. (Chabahar is more of a strategic position for India to counter Gwadar port in Pakistan, which is aided by China)
What do Afghans think about India?
Well after the backbone of infrastructure India is providing to them, I don't think that they will be having any negative thought about India. A recent news shows a Thank You gesture by the Afghan people for India when India reconstructed the Salma dam in Afghanistan.
India is spending $300 million on the dam project, expected to produce 42 MW of electricity and water nearly 80,000 hectares of farmland.
Many Afghans expressed thanks on Twitter to India for its reconstruction help.
Local musicians sang Indian songs, including Bollywood number "Yamma Yamma", and also presented flowers to workers of the consulate.
They even carried a 100 meter long tricolor to thank India for the reconstruction work.
Probably they like India for the unconditionalsupport India provides to them
